What is causing this and how do I fix it? A:.. Check to make sure that you have Direct X 6.0 or higher installed on your system. If you don’t have it installed, the game will not run. To install Direct X 6.0, follow the instructions below: Place the Hump Yard CD in your CD-ROM drive. Click on your Start button and then select, ‘RUN’. In the text field, type the letter of your CD-ROM drive followed by a colon and a backslash, then the filename, dx6eng.exe. You will then be asked whether or not you wish to install the Microsoft Direct X drivers. Click the ‘Yes’ button. Direct X 6 will now be installed. When finished, you will need to restart your computer and then Hump Yard should work normally.
